Reiki Healing

Reki Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person. ​ Studies and anecdotal evidence has shown that, in addition to promoting relaxtion among patients, Reiki can also be used to encourage healing and provide other benefits. In fact, some studies have even explored the effect of Reiki on patients who are undergoing cancer treatment concurrently. These studies have found that, although Reiki is not a substitute for other cancer treatments, it may enhance these treatments and offer a number of benefits to patients as they deal with the symptons and stresses of cancer. ​ Reiki sessions are available at a discounted rate outside of the service day to those in treatment for cancer and just finishing.
